About

Some things are difficult to put into words. For me, they have always found another way out through colour, texture, shape and the act of creating.

Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. One of the memories that has stayed with me is sitting in my grandfather’s home studio, watching him paint. He would let me paint alongside him and patiently tried to teach me what he knew. I still remember the scent of his oil paints and the feeling of being surrounded by his work. It is a memory that has stayed with me and continues to mean something.

Creativity has always been present in my grandparents’ lives, expressed in different ways through painting, music, sewing, making things and working with their hands. Growing up around that creative energy may be where my own need to create began. An instinct to take what is felt, experienced and remembered and turn it into something tangible.

My work is deeply personal, shaped by emotions, experiences and the connections that leave a lasting mark. I am drawn to the things that are difficult to explain: a feeling, a memory, a moment or something that exists somewhere between thought and emotion.

Creating is where everything becomes a little quieter. It is a space to feel, explore and simply be. Colour, texture and form become a language of their own, allowing something that exists within me to take shape outside of me.

Each piece begins with something felt, remembered or imagined. Through the process of creating, it becomes something tangible, something with a presence of its own. A fragment of an inner world, translated into colour, texture and form.
